ICF Credential Preparation Program
Helping You Connect the Dots
From understanding the ICF standards to demonstrating ICF-aligned professional coaching.
You have completed—or are completing—your coach education. You have learned the Core Competencies, coaching models, tools, and techniques.
Now you are preparing for your ICF credential—but the complete journey may still feel like a collection of separate pieces.
Your Coach Education Gave You the Pieces. Now Connect Them.
How do the competencies work together in a real coaching conversation? How does the model you use align with ICF standards? What distinguishes ACC from PCC coaching? What will be evaluated? How do Mentor Coaching, competency evaluation, the application process, and the Credentialing Exam fit together?
The Professional Coach Preparation Program by Marina Zakharova, ICF PCC, brings all these pieces together. It helps you understand the ICF standards, integrate the competencies into your coaching, strengthen your professional practice, and prepare for the complete credentialing journey.
More Than Exam Preparation
The ICF Credentialing Exam is an important part of the journey. This program will help you understand its purpose, structure, ethical focus, and the professional judgment it requires.
But becoming credential-ready requires more than knowing how to answer exam questions.
Credential readiness also requires clarity about:
- What ICF expects at your credential level
- How the Core Competencies work together
- What observable evidence of competency sounds like
- How ACC and PCC coaching differ in depth and consistency
- How to prepare for Mentor Coaching and competency evaluation
- How to navigate the application and credentialing process
- How to use models and tools without compromising partnership or client autonomy
This program connects all of it.
Connect the Dots. Become Credential-Ready.
Your coach education gave you valuable knowledge. This program helps you bring that knowledge together and understand what it means for your own coaching and credentialing journey.
Before the Program
You may understand the competencies individually, yet still feel uncertain about how they work together in a real coaching conversation—what ICF evaluators listen for, how your coaching compares with ACC or PCC expectations, and how the application, performance evaluation, Mentor Coaching, and Credentialing Exam connect.
After the Program
You will understand how the complete ICF credentialing journey fits together. You will be able to recognize ICF-aligned coaching, assess your current readiness more clearly, and identify exactly what you need to strengthen before applying.
Fulfill ICF Mentor Coaching requirement with a PCC Mentor Coach.
Move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and a practical path toward your ICF credential.
Your Seven-Module Journey
Each module connects another part of professional coaching—helping you move from understanding individual ICF requirements to seeing how the complete credentialing journey fits together.

A Note from Marina
The ICF Core Competencies are not isolated skills. They become visible in how a coach listens, partners, responds, and creates space for the client.
In my work mentoring coaches, I have observed a recurring blind spot: understanding the competencies individually does not always translate into seeing how they interconnect within a real coaching session.
I created this program to connect the dots between competency knowledge, coaching practice, and credential-level expectations.
